REPENTANCE

MISCONCEPTIONS CONCERNING REPENTANCE

10. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Fear does not cause repentance!!!

KJV James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

KJV Revelation 3:1-5

17. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

18. I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

19. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

  1. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

The Bible has a lot to say about repentance and the fact is, that you cannot be saved without repenting. There are, however, other things must do of the have not obeyed the Gospel plan of salvation.

Believe – John 8:24 Believe or die in your sins

Then REPENT
Confess – Acts 8:35-38

Be Baptized - Acts 22:16

Then if you are a child of God and you need to become cleansed again, do so today as Simon did and we will pray for you – Acts 8:24
