A Brief Study of Daniel
Introduction: Daniel is a man named among the Greats!

Ezekiel 14:20 "Though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, saith the Lord God, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness."

Daniel could understand dreams and visions – Daniel 1:17

      I.   The Uncompromising Daniel
Daniel would not eat the King’s meat or drink his wine Daniel 1:8

Two reasons why Daniel did not eat this meat and drink this wine:

    • Leviticus 17:10-14 – The meat was not properly prepared
    • Deuteronomy 5:6-9 – This activity was connected with idolatry
Daniel is promoted Daniel 6:1-3. His enemies seek to set him at fault- notice what they had to do Daniel 6:4-5. They find a way Daniel 6:6-9. Notice what happens next Daniel 6:10-14.
II.   Daniel in the Lion’s Den
Daniel is delivered by God – Daniel 6:16-24

King Darius makes a new law – Daniel 6:25-28

Notice in the armor that we are to wear Ephesians 6:10-17 what else we need to do that Daniel did Ephesians 6:18!

      III.   Daniel Prophesied the Kingdom
Nebuchadnezzar had a dream. He needed someone to interpret that dream – Daniel 2:36-45 – The Kingdom that never would be destroyed. Christ was going to be born to have an everlasting Kingdom Luke 1:30-35. His Kingdom would stand Matthew 16:18-19, II Peter 1:11 and Hebrews 12:28. His Kingdom is not of this world John 18:36

Notice also Daniel 7:13-14. Notice how Christ left this earth Acts 1:9

IV.   God may put us in the "wrong place, at the right time"
Paul and Silas – Acts 16:23-34. The conversion of the Jailor

Or even the right place….

Philip Acts 8:26-39 – Conversion of the Eunuch

Conclusion: We need men like Daniel today in the Church – Philippians 1:27, Titus 2:11-12, and Revelation 2:10
