THE GOSPEL OF JOHN CHAPTER 1

I. THE DEITY OF THE WORD GOD: VS 1-5

A. These were the characteristics of the Word God. v 1 1. The Word (the Logos) was called God because He helps make God to be the Creator of all things. vs 1-2 2. The Word (the Logos) was called God because He makes God to be the Enlightener of all things. John 6:66-69 a). The Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit are the three Spiritual Persons who equally are called by the name of God in matters of our own creation of life because They make God to be the Creator of our own sinless nature of life. Gen. 1:26-27, 1 John 5:7, Deut. 6:4, Eph. 3:15 b). The Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit are the three God-Persons who made Themselves to be called by the name Christ in the sense of being the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit so that They could be the Redeemer of our own sinful nature of life. Acts 2:34-38, Matt. 28:18-20 B. These were the powers of the Word God. v 3 1. The Word in being God enjoyed the Omnipotent powers of life. Rev. 19:6 2. The Word in being God had the Omniscient powers of life. Psa. 147:5 3. The Word in being God possessed the Omnipresent powers of life. Psa. 139:7- 10 C. These were the blessings of the Word God. vs 4-5 1. The Word in being God possessed the glory of Immortality. v 4, 1 Tim. 6:15-16 2. The Word in being God had the holy attributes of life. v 5, James 1:13-15 II. THE WITNESS OF JOHN, THE BAPTIST: VS 6-8 A. This was the authority of John's work upon the earth. v 6 (John was sent from God.) Mal. 3:1 B. These were the purposes of John's work upon the earth. v 7 1. John was to bear witness of the light. v 7 2. The work of John was to cause men to believe. v 7 C. This was the effect of John's work upon the earth. v 8 (John testified of the light.) III. THE TRUE LIGHT OF THE WORLD: VS 9-14 A. This was the purpose of that true Light. v 9 (Jesus Christ in being the Incarnated Word God upon the earth revealed the value of salvation unto us.) Isa. 49:6, Matt. 16:26 B. These are the mandates of that true Light. vs 10-11 1. Disciples must know Jesus as being the Incarnated Word upon the earth. v 10, Phil. 2:5-11 2. Christians must receive Jesus as being the Incarnated Word upon the earth. v 11, 1 Tim. 3:16, 2 Cor. 5:18 C. These are the values of that true Light. vs 12-13 1. We as alien sinners have been given the right to become the sons of God by redemption. v 12, Gal. 3:26-29 2. We as alien sinners have been given the right to be born again of God. v 13, John 3:1-7 D. These are the revelations of that true Light. v 14 1. The Word God was born Jesus Christ upon the earth so that He could do the Divine Work of human redemption. v 14, Matt. 1:18-24, John 3:16 2. Jesus Christ in being the Incarnated Word God upon the earth revealed the true Light. v 14, John 8:12, Heb. 1:1-3 IV. THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST: VS 15-18 A. This was the witness of His revelation. v 15 (John bare witness of Jesus Christ.) John 1:29 B. This was the value of His revelation. v 16 1. Jesus has revealed the grace of God. Titus 2:11-12 2. Christians have received His grace. Heb. 8:12 C. These are the blessings of His revelation. v 17 1. Jesus revealed the truth of God. John 14:6 2. Jesus revealed the grace of God. 2 Cor. 8:9 D. These are the characteristics of His revelation. v 18 1. Jesus has revealed God unto us. John 14:9, John 10:10 2. Jesus was God upon the earth in human form. Phil. 2:5-9 V. THE RECORD OF JOHN, THE BAPTIST: VS 19-28 A. These are the testimonies of John, the Baptist. vs 19-23 1. These are the negative testimonies of John. vs 19-21 a). John was not the Christ. vs 19-20 b). John was not Elijah. v 21, Mal. 4:5 c). John was not that prophet. v 21, Deut. 18:15-19 2. This was the positive testimony of John. v 22-23 (John was preparing the way for the coming of our Lord.) Isa. 40:3 B. This was the work of John, the Baptist. vs 24-26 1. The work of John was authorized by heaven. Mal. 3:1 2. The baptism of John was authorized by heaven. Matt. 20:1-8 C. This was the humility of John, the Baptist. vs 26-28 1. John knew that he could not compare with the greatness of Christ. 2. Christians are greater than John, the Baptist because they are in the Kingdom of God. Matt. 11:11 VI. THE MESSAGE OF JOHN, THE BAPTIST: VS 29-34 A. This was the nature of his message. v 29 (John preached that Christ was the lamb of God who takes away our sins.) v 29, Isa. 53:7 B. This was the purpose of his message. v 30 (John preached that Jesus was greater in power, nature and wisdom than himself.) Col. 2:3 C. This was reason for his message. vs 31-33 (John preached that the Holy Spirit gave witness of Jesus being the Christ.) Matt. 3:13-17 D. This was the blessing of his message. v 34 (John preached that Christ had Divine authority.) Matt. 28:18-20 VII. DISCIPLESHIP: VS 35-42 A. This is the method of becoming a disciple of the Lord. vs 35-36 (We must be directed to the Lamb of God.) John 8:31-32 B. These are the mandates for being a disciple of the Lord. v 37 1. Christians must hear the truth of God. Romans 10:17 2. Saints should believe the truth of God. Heb. 11:6 3. Disciples ought to follow Jesus in being a disciple. Heb. 5:8-9 C. This is the motivation for become a disciple of the Lord. v 38 (We must seek Christ for what He is.) 1 Cor. 15:1-4 D. These are the blessings of becoming a disciple of the Lord. v 39 (Christians are receiving the spiritual blessings of Christ.) Eph. 1:3, John 11:25, Heb. 4:14-16 E. This is the success of become a disciple of the Lord. vs 40-42 (Christians can become a soul-winner for Christ.) James 5:19-20 VIII. THE SEEKING SAVIOUR: VS 43-51 A. This is the call of the seeking Saviour. v 43 (Our Lord simply says: "Come unto me. Follow me.") Matt. 11:28-30 B. These are the powers of the seeking Saviour. vs 44-46 1. Christians can bring other people to Christ. vs 44-45, Acts 8:5 2. Disciples can testify of Christ. v 45, Luke 24:44-48 3. Brethren can invite other people to come to Christ. v 46, 1 Cor. 2:1-4 C. This is the wisdom of the seeking Saviour. vs 47-49 (Our Lord can reveal Divine wisdom unto us.) Col. 2:3, James 1:5-8 D. These are the blessings of the seeking Saviour. vs 50-51 1. Christians will receive the necessities of this life. Matt. 6:33, James 1:17 2 All faithful disciples will be rewarded with eternal life in that world which is to come. 2 Peter 1:3-4, 1 Tim. 6:6-8 CHAPTER 2

I. THE FIRST MIRACLE OF JESUS: 1-12

A. This was the concern of Jesus. vs 1-2 (Jesus attended the wedding.) 1. Our Lord is concerned with our social needs. Prov. 18:22 2. Our Lord is interested in our physical needs. Phil. 4:19 3. Our Lord will supply our spiritual needs. Phil. 4:13 B. This was the need for Jesus. v 3 (They have not wine.) 1. We need our Creator. Gen. 1:26-27, 1 John 5:7 2. We need our Redeemer. Acts 2:34-38, Matt. 28:18-20 C. This was the authority of Jesus. vs 4-5 (They were told, "Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.") 1. Our Lord will solve our world problems. 1 John 2:15-17 2. Our Lord can resolve our national problems. Psa. 33:12 3. Our Lord will decipher our domestic problems. Eph. 6:1-4 4. Our Lord has the answer to our personal problems. Romans 8:35-39 D. These was the commandments of Jesus. vs 6-8 1. Jesus said, "Fill up". v 7 (Shouldn't we fill up on the word of God?) Eph. 3:17-19 2. Jesus said, "Draw out". v 8. (Shouldn't we draw out of the word of God?) Heb. 4:12 3. Jesus said, "Bear unto". v 8 (shouldn't we bear unto other people?) Matt. 10:8 E. These were the blessings of Jesus. vs 9-10 (They rejoiced over His miracle.) 1. Our Lord gives us peace in this life. Matt. 11:28-30 2. Our Lord will give us eternal life in that world which is to come. John 5:29-30 F. This was the glory of Jesus. vs 11-12 (This miracle manifested His glory.) 1. Christians can believe His recorded miracles. John 20:30-31 2. Disciples can share in His glory. Romans 8:17, Col. 3:1-4 II. JESUS CLEANSED THE TEMPLE: VS 13-15 A. This was the occasion for Jesus to cleanse the temple. v 13 1. The Jews Passover was at Jerusalem. 2. We as disciples should remember that the New Testament church was established at Jerusalem. Acts 2:1-47 B. This was the reason why Jesus cleansed the temple. vs 14-17 1. The people had polluted the temple of God. 2. We as Christians need to realize that people can pollute the New Testament church. Eph. 5:25-27 C. This was the authority for Jesus to cleanse the temple. vs 18-22 1. Jesus would fulfill the law of Moses and give unto us a new covenant. Matt. 5:17-18, Matt. 27:50-51, Col. 2:14 2. We as saints must learn that Jesus gave unto us a new law for the New Testament church. Matt. 16:13-18, Heb. 6:8-13 D. This was the effects of Jesus cleansing the temple. vs 23-25 1. Many of the people believed on His name. 2. We as members of the church should know that many people will believe on His name. Acts 4:11-12, Matt. 28:18-20 CHAPTER 3

I. THE SPIRITUAL BIRTH: VS 1-21

A. These are the needs for that spiritual birth. vs 1-5 1. We as alien sinners need to be born again so that we can see the Kingdom of God. vs 1-3 2. We as alien sinners must be born anew so that we can enter into the Kingdom of God because baptism is the climax of the new birth. vs 4-5, 1 Peter 3:20-21 a). Baptism requires water. Acts 8:36-39 b). Baptism demands the Spirit of God. Matt. 28:18-20, Acts 2:38 B. These are the purposes of the spiritual birth. vs 6-7 1. There is a fleshly birth which comes from our parents. Gen. 4:1 2. There is a spiritual birth which comes from God. 1 Peter 1:22-23 C. These are the hindrances of the spiritual birth. vs 8-21 1. The lack of knowledge can hinder a person from being born anew. vs 8- 13, Hosea 4:6 2. The lack of faith can stop a person from being born again. vs 14-15, 1 John 5:4 a). The alien sinners may not believe in the gospel plan of salvation. v 14, Heb. 11:6 b). The alien sinners may not believe in the Divine Person who gave us the gospel plan of salvation. v 15, Rev. 1:18 3. The lack of love can restrain a person from being born again. vs 16-21, 1 John 5:3 a). Some people may not appreciate the sacrificial love of God. vs 16- 18, Romans 5:6-8, Romans 2:4-5 b). Some people may be lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. vs 19-21, 2 Tim. 3:4 CHAPTER 3

II. THE SUPERIORITY OF CHRIST: VS 22-36

A. This was the superiority of His ministry. vs 22-26 (All men were coming to Christ.) B. This was the superiority of His leadership. vs 27-29 (Christ is the head of the church.) Eph. 1:22-23 C. The was the superiority of His popularity. v 30 (John, the Baptist did go our of business at one time.) Acts 19:1-7 D. These were the greatness of His power. vs 31-36 1. Christ is above all. v 31, Matt. 28:18-20 2. Christ has Divine wisdom. v 32, Col. 2:3 3. Christ has the seal of God. vs 33-35, Matt. 17:1-8 4. Christ can give eternal life, or eternal punishment. v 36, Rev. 1:18 CHAPTER 4

I. THE REVELATION OF CHRIST: VS 1-26

A. This was the reason for that revelation. vs 1-6 (The providence of God makes all things possible.) Romans 8:28 B. This was the humility of that revelation. vs 7-8 (Jesus Christ was humble.) Phil. 2:5-11 C. These are the blessings of that revelation. vs 9-15 (Our Lord can satisfy the needs for our souls.) Matt. 5:6 D. This was the wisdom of that revelation. vs 16-19 (All wisdom and knowledge are in Christ.) Col. 3:2 E. This was the value of that revelation. vs 20-24 (There would be a new way of worshiping God.) Matt. 4:10 F. This was the authenticity of that revelation. vs 24-26 (Jesus revealed that He was the Christ.) 2 Cor. 5:17-21 II. THE WORKING OF THE LORD: VS 27-30 A. This was the marvel of that work. v 27 (The Samaritan woman was working for the Lord.) Rev. 14:13 B. This was the urgency of that work. v 28 (She left her waterpot.) Matt. 6:33 C. This was the blessing of that work. v 29 (Come and see the Christ.) Matt. 11:28-30 D. The consequence of that work. v 30 ("They came unto Him.") 1 Thess 2:19-20 III. SERVING GOD: VS 31-38 A. These are the blessings for serving God. vs 31-33 (There is spiritual food for our soul.) John 6:51 B. This is the motivation for serving God. v 34 (Christians should desire to do the will of God and finish His work.) Phil. 2:13 C. This is the need for serving God. v 35 (There are lost souls which need to be saved.) James 5:19-20 D. These are the rewards for serving God. vs 36-38 1. The righteous will be given eternal life. vs 36-38, Romans 2:7 2. The wicked will be punished eternally. Romans 6:23, Matt. 10:28 IV. THE RELIGIOUS AWAKENING OF THE SAMARITANS: VS 39-42 A. This was the scope of that awakening. v 39 (Many people believed on the Lord.) Acts 2:40-41 B. This was the reason for that awakening. v 39 (The testimony of Christ was given and believed.) Romans 10:17 C. This was the blessing of that awakening. v 40 (Christ stayed with them for two days.) Rev. 3:20, Gal. 2:20 D. This was the value of that awakening. vs 41-42 (They knew from experience that Jesus was the Christ.) 2 Tim. 1:12 V. THE HEALING OF THE NOBLEMAN'S SON: VS 43-54 A. This was the reason for that miracle. vs 43-46 1. The nobleman's son was sick. 2. The sinner has a soul which is sick from sin. Romans 3:23, Eph. 2:1-3, Isa. 59:1-2 B. This was the urgency of that miracle. v 47 1. The nobleman's son was near the point of death. 2. The sinner is near the point of spiritual death. Romans 6:23, Matt. 10:28 C. This was the hindrances of that miracles. v 48 1. Sign-seekers will not believe. 2. We as Christians should not become a sign-seeker. John 20:30-31 D. These were the blessings of that miracle. vs 49-54 1. The nobleman's son lives. vs 49-50 (We can live.) Romans 14:7-9 2. The nobleman believed. vs 50-52 (We should believe.) 2 Cor. 5:7 3. His whole house believed. vs 53-54 (We can influence other people.) Heb. 11:4, Rev. 14:13 CHAPTER 5

I. THE GREAT PHYSICIAN: VS 1-16

A. This was the need for the great physician. vs 1-5 1. There were the impotent people waiting to be healed in a physical way. 2. The sinful people of the world need to be healed in a spiritual way. Eph. 2:1-3, Isa. 59:1-2 B. This was the opportunity for the great physician to heal the needy. vs 6-7 1. Jesus asked a man, "wilt thou be made whole"? 2. The sinful people of the world can be made whole from the bondage of sin. 2 Cor. 5:17, Eph. 4:23-24 C. These were the commandments of the great physician. v 8 1. Jesus said, "Rise." (The sinner can be raised from sin.) Romans 6:3-7 2. Jesus said, "Take up thy bed." (The sinner can conquer the powers of sin.) Romans 8:37, Phil. 4:13 3. Jesus said, "Walk." (The redeemed persons can walk with the Lord in a spiritual way.) Col. 3:1-4 D. These were the blessings of the great physician. v 9 1. The impotent man was made whole. (We can be made free from our sins.) Romans 6:12-13 2. The impotent conquered his infirmity. (We can win the victory over our enemy who is Satan.) 1 Cor. 15:57 3. The impotent man walked. (We can walk with the Lord in a sinless state.) Gal. 2:20, l John 1:7-9 E. These were the oppositions to the great physician. vs 10-17 1. Religious error was an obstacle which they had to overcome. vs 10-13, 2 Tim. 4:1-4, Heb. 6:6 2. Religious persecutions were threatened because the Jews sought to slay Jesus. vs 14-17, 2 Tim. 3:12 II. THE UNIQUE RELATIONSHIP AMONG THOSE DIVINE PERSONS WHO ARE CALLED BY THE NAME OF GOD: VS 17-30 A. Those three Spiritual Persons who are called by the name of God are equal among Themselves because there is only one God. vs 17-18, Deut. 6:4 1. Jesus was equal with the Father because Jesus was the Word (a Spiritual Person) who lived in heaven before His Divine Birth upon the earth so that He could do the Divine Work of human redemption. Phil. 2:5-11 2. Jesus Christ was the Incarnated Word God in the flesh because the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. John 1:1-3,14, Matt. 1:18-24 B. Those three Spiritual Persons who are called by the name of God have unity among Themselves because They work together to redeem sinful man. vs 19-24 1. Jesus in being the Incarnated Word was doing the work of God because He was sent by the Father, and the Holy Spirit to do the Divine Work of human redemption upon the earth. 1 John 5:7 2. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are the three Divine Persons who redeemed sinful man from his sins. Matt. 28:18-20 C. Those three Spiritual Persons who are called by the name of God have the power to redeemed sinful man because the power of God is used for that purpose. vs 25-30 1. Jesus did demonstrate the powers of God upon the earth because He was God manifested in the flesh. 1 Tim. 3:16 2. Jesus did prove that He was Divine because of the miracles which He performed upon the earth. John 20:30-31 III. THE DEITY OF CHRIST: VS 31-47 A. Jesus proved His Deity because He bore witness of Himself. v 31, John 8:14 B. Jesus confirmed His Deity because John, the Baptist bore witness of Him. vs 32-35 C. Jesus verified His Deity because the works which He did upon the earth proved His Deity. v 36, John 20:30-31 D. Jesus affirmed His Deity because the Father and the Holy Spirit bore witness of His Deity. vs 37-38, Matt. 3:13-17 E. Jesus declared His Deity because the scriptures testified of Him. vs 39-47 1. The scriptures testify of Christ. v 39, Gen. 3:15, Deut. 18:15 2. The unbelief of the scriptures hindered this witness. vs 40-47, Heb. 11:6 CHAPTER 6

I. THE MIRACLE OF THE LOAVES: VS 1-14

A. This was the need for that miracle. vs 1-6 (They needed a meal to eat.) 1. Each person needs the physical blessings of life. Matt. 6:33 2. Each person should have the spiritual blessings of life. Eph. 1:3, 2 Peter 1:3 B. This was the opportunity for that miracle. vs 7-9 (They did have the money to buy a meal.) 1. The Lord can bless His people. James 1:17 2. The Lord will bless His people. Phil. 4:19 C. This was the command for that miracle. v 10 1. They were told to sit down. 2. Each person is told to obey. Heb. 5:8-9 D. These were the consequences of that miracle. vs 11-14 1. They were filled. vs 11-13, John 14:27, Col. 2:9-10 2. They believed. v 14, John 20:30-31, Heb. 11:6 II. JESUS WALKED ON THE SEA: VS 15-21 A. This was the occasion for that walk. v 15 1. Christ refused to become their bread King. 2. Christ is more than our bread King. John 18:36, Eph. 1:22-23, 1 Tim. 6:15- 16 B. This was the need for that walk. vs 16-17 1. Jesus needed to come unto them because He was not with them. 2. Jesus will come unto us. Rev. 3:20, John 15:5 C. These were the purposes of that walk. vs 18-19 1. Jesus wanted to calm the storms of life. Romans 8:35-39 2. Jesus desired to calm the fears of life. Luke 12:32, Job 3:25 D. These were the blessings of that walk. vs 20-21 1. They won a victory over their fears. v 20, 1 Cor. 15:57, Rev. 14:13 2. They had a safe journey. John 14:1-3 III. SEEKING JESUS AS A BREAD KING: VS 22-34 A. This was the popularity for that search. vs 22-24 (They came seeking Jesus.) B. This was the courtesy of that search. v 25 ( They asked, "Rabbi, when camest thou hither?") C. This was the rebuke for that search. v 26 (Jesus said, "Ye seek me because ye did eat of the loaves and were filled.) D. These are the forbiddances of that search. v 27 1. We are not to labor for physical bread: material gain. v 27, Matt. 4:4 2. We should labor for spiritual bread: spiritual treasures. v 27, Matt. 6:19- 21 E. These are the requirements for that search. vs 28-34 1. We as disciples must believe in God and do his works because those Jews were not doing the works of God. vs 28-29, Gal. 5:6 2. We as Christians should know the truth of God because those Jews did not know the truth of God. vs 30-34, John 8:31-32 IV. THE BREAD OF LIFE: VS 35-40 A. This was the personification of that bread. v 35 (Jesus was personified as being that bread.) B. This was the authority of that bread. vs 36-39 (Jesus was authorized by Heaven.) Matt. 28:18-20 C. This was the blessing of that bread. v 40 (Jesus came to give unto us eternal life.) Luke 19:10, Romans 6:23 V. REJECTING THE TRUTH: VS 41-51 A. These are the ways to reject the truth. vs 41-42 1. The Jews murmured at Jesus. v 41, 1 Cor. 10:10 2. The Jews disbelieved Jesus. v 42, John 20:30-31 B. This was their rebuke for rejecting truth. v 43 1. They were told not to murmur among yourselves. v 43, Prov 19:3 2. We are told not to murmur among ourselves. Phil. 2:14 C. These are the ways to keep from rejecting the truth. vs 44-46 1. All people can accept the truth. v 44, John 17:17, Heb. 4:12 2. Each person can be taught of God. vs 45-46, 2 Tim. 3:15 D. This will be the blessing for not rejecting the truth. vs 47-51 (Those who do not reject the truth will be given eternal life.) Romans 2:7, 1 Tim. 6:15-16 VI. THE LIFE OF CHRIST: VS 52-59 A. This was the misunderstanding of His life. v 52 1. They asked, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" 2. A Christian is spiritually married to Christ. Gal. 3:27, Eph. 5:30-32 B. These were the mandates of His life. v 53 1. We as Christians must eat of His flesh and drink His blood v 53, 1 Cor. 11:26 2. We as disciples should become an extension of the life of Christ upon the earth. Lev. 17:10-14, 1 Peter 2:21 a). We as alien sinners must become a new creature in Christ. 2 Cor. 5:17, Eph. 4:23-24 b). We as Christians should became a part of His life upon the earth. Gal. 2:20, Rev. 3:20 c). We as saints ought to develop a Christ-like personality. Phil. 2:5-11 C. These are the blessings of His life. vs 54-55 1. Christ can give unto us the glory of eternal life. v 54, John 14:1-3 2. Christ can give unto us the fulfillment of life. v 55, John 10:10, Matt. 5:6 D. This was the value of His life. vs 56-57 (We can have fellowship with Christ.) Col. 3:11 E. This was the teachings of His life. vs 58-59 (Jesus said, "I am the Bread of Life.") Rev. 1:18 VII. MISUNDERSTAND THE TRUTH: VS 60-65 A. This was the cause for that misunderstanding of the truth. v 60 1. They said, "This is a hard saying: who can hear it?" 2. The truth of God is not hard to be received. Psa. 19:10-11 B. This was the rebuke for that misunderstanding of the truth. v 61 1. Jesus asked, "Doth this offend you?" 2. Should we become the enemy of other people for telling them the truth? Gal. 4:16 C. These are the reasons for that misunderstanding of the truth. vs 62-65 1. Those Jews did not believe in His Deity. v 62, John 20:30-31 2. Those Jews did not believe in His words. v 63, Romans 10:17, 2 Tim. 3:16-17 3. Those Jews did not believe in His plan of salvation. vs 64-65, Romans 1:16, Romans 10:1-3 VIII. OUR ACCEPTANCE OF CHRIST: VS 66-71 A. This was the challenge for our own acceptance of Christ. vs 66-67 1. Our Lord asked His apostles, "will ye also go away?" 2. All Persons are called to a decision. Heb. 3:7-8 B. These are the reasons for our own acceptance of Christ. v 68 1. The apostles asked, "Lord to whom shall we go?" v 68, Matt. 28:18-20 a). We as Christians can not go to Moses. Deut. 18:15-19 b). We as disciples can not go to the prophets. Acts 10:43 c). We as saints can not go to the Law of Moses. Luke 24:44-48 d). We as members of the church can not go to mortal man. 1 Cor. 1:10- 13 2. Peter said, "Lord, thou hast the words of eternal life." v 68, Col. 2:3 a). Our Lord can to give us life. John 10:10 b). Judas Iscariot was not saved from the devil because he did not accept the Lord. Luke 22:47-48 2. We can be saved from the devil providing that we accept the Lord. 1 Peter 5:8, Jude 24-25
